Tamil Nadu is getting more and more tourists from all over the land. A lot of people also love going to the beaches. In the summer, the hill station is a great place to spend time relaxing on vacation. I am going to write about a hill station in Tamil Nadu in this piece. Look at this below…

Hill Station in Tamilnadu:

Tamil Nadu, which is in the south of India, is one of the most beautiful states in the country. It is known for both its natural beauty and its religious activities. Karnataka, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh are states that are next to Tamil Nadu. They have towns like Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Tirunelveli, Madurai, and more. I’m going to talk about some hill station in Tamil Nadu. Look at this below…

Ooty:

Ooty is a lovely city set in the lovely Nilgiris hills. Officially, this city is called Utkumand, but Ooty is used to make it easier for people to remember. A lot of people visit this hill town in the south of India. The Nilgiris area in Tamil Nadu includes this city. This is another Tamil Nadu hill station.

The Nilgiri hills around Ooty City make it look even more beautiful. The Blue Mountains are another name for these hills. Some people think that the name of this place comes from the Neelakurinji flowers that bloom in the valleys every 12 years. These flowers are blue, and the valleys look like they’re painted in blue when they bloom.

Kodaikanal:

Kodaikanal is a lovely hill town in the Western Ghats, in the Palani hills. People call the city “the princess of hill stations” because of how beautiful it is and how popular it is. The city in Tamilnadu’s Dindigul district is 2133 meters above sea level and sits on top of a hill. This is another Tamil Nadu hill station.

The city of Kodaikanal is in the valley between the Cross and the Gundar. In the north of Kodaikanal, there is a hill that drops off to the villages of Villapati and Palangi. In the past, the hills went all the way up to the Lower Palani Hills. It is south of Kodaikanal that you can find the Kamamb Valley. In the west, there is a hill that leads to the Manjampatti Valley and the Annamai Hills.

In Tamil, Kodaikanal means “the forest’s gift.” There are four versions, though, because the word Kodai can mean four different things. The first one means “the end of the forest,” the second one means “jungle forests,” the third one means “summer forests,” and the fourth one means “gift of the forest.”

The hill town Yercaud is in the Shevaroy Hills in Tamil Nadu. It is in the Eastern Ghats. It is at an elevation of 1515 meters, and many people come to enjoy the beautiful scenery and nice weather. This is another Tamil Nadu hill station.

People sometimes call Yercaud the Utkandamandalam of the poor because it’s cheaper here than in Ooty, which is a well-known hill town. Yercaud is becoming more and more popular with people from both inside and outside of France.

The name Yercaud comes from two Tamil words that mean “lake” and “jungle.” People mostly know Yercaud for its black pepper, orange, jackfruit, coffee, and cardamom trees.

A Scottish collector named Mr. M. D. Cockburn brought coffee from Africa in 1820, and it was a big deal. Another place is a protected forest that has the forest and wildlife as they were when they were first discovered.
